Tin Impressions on Raw Materials
Raw surfaces become landscapes. Saw marks, mineral reliefs and material imperfections emerge under the light. The tin used in the pieces comes from recycled objects, melted down and recast in the workshop.
I create tin casts and impressions on natural materials: rough-sawn wood, granite, mineral reliefs and weathered surfaces. These impressions bring out textures that often go unnoticed. The metal becomes a memory of the landscape, capturing the trace of a grain, a crack, a stratum or an irregularity. This process transforms elements often regarded as secondary into true decorative motifs.
