Abstract boxwood sculpture, partially gilded with gold leaf and presented on a cast tin base. The work explores the intrinsic qualities of the material, allowing the wood’s unique characteristics to emerge. Knots, cracks and irregularities, usually perceived as flaws, become the fundamental elements of the composition.
